I’m Jerome Rimson, a seasoned bassist and music producer with over five decades of experience in the music industry. Hailing from Detroit, I’ve had the privilege of working with legendary artists like Van Morrison, Al Jarreau, Real Thing, Detroit Emeralds, Steve Winwood, Phil Lynott, and Freddie Mercury, both in the studio and on stage.

My musical journey has been deeply intertwined with Phil Lynott, as I served as the bassist on his albums “Solo in Soho” and “The Phil Lynott Album.” More recently, I contributed to the film “Songs For While I’m Away,” collaborating with notable musicians like Adam Clayton and James Hetfield, which further solidified my connection to Lynott’s legacy.

In addition to my iconic collaborations, I’ve been actively involved in producing music. I produced singles for The Detroit Emeralds and am currently working on a new album and documentary about the band. I also take pride in supporting emerging Irish talent, including Mary O’Neill Norberg.

I am delighted to be working with Remedy Health to bring out Remedy Rock, a product that I believe every professional’s gear bag needs to have in today’s music scene.

My experiences performing in Montreux with renowned artists inspired me to pen the song “Ode to Montreux,” set to be released on the MCM label. I remain dedicated to the music scene, performing annually at the Cork Jazz Festival and headlining at the Clonakilty Guitar Festival with my band, Strange Angels.

Recently, I contributed to the release of the Eddie Howell vinyl box set, particularly the title track “Man From Manhattan,” which features Freddie Mercury on vocals and piano, Brian May on guitar, and me on bass.

My catalogue of live and recorded performances includes collaborations with a diverse range of artists, showcasing my extensive journey in music. I am passionate about continuing to create, produce, and perform, sharing my love for music with audiences around the world.
